Shirley’s Valley Grooming Boarding & Daycare is built around one simple idea: every pet is an individual, and their care should reflect that.
For more than 30 years, our facility has served pets and their families throughout the Carson Valley and surrounding areas. Today, we continue that tradition with a focus on personalized care, structured routines, and a calm environment where each pet can be cared for at their own pace.
Our boarding approach is intentionally different from large group or free-for-all environments. We offer private accommodations, individual attention, and one-on-one activity while keeping our boarding numbers limited so we can focus on the pets staying with us.
From boarding and daycare to grooming, our goal is to provide dependable, thoughtful care while accommodating the individual needs of the dogs and cats entrusted to us.

After many years in the pet-care industry, our business has grown from grooming into the boarding, daycare and grooming services we offer today.
We believe good pet care isn't one-size-fits-all. Some dogs love attention and activity, while others need more space, structure, patience, or a slower approach. That's why we've built our boarding program around individualized care rather than group-style boarding.
Being hands-on owners allows us to stay closely involved with the pets in our care and maintain the kind of small-scale, personal environment we want for our business.
